Ever since I can remember, I have been fascinated by both stories and childhood development. Writing for kids allows me to channel these twin passions at once.
Before diving into children’s writing, I completed my medical degree at McGill University. I went on to do my Masters in English and Creative Writing at Concordia. And from there I began a career teaching English and Creative Writing to college students as well as to kids and teens in local libraries and schools.
I am always grateful for the opportunity to meet young readers and budding writers, whether through a reading or creative writing workshop. Their imaginations and creativity are a constant inspiration.
I am equally passionate about story editing, whether with professional writers or anyone seeking to put their thoughts into words—a typically messy, non-linear process that can benefit from dialogue with an experienced partner.
If you might be interested in having me visit your school, library or festival, or if you’d like to discuss a writing project of your own, feel free to get in touch!
