I love meeting young readers and budding writers. I have read my books and run creative writing workshops in dozens of classrooms and libraries for children from pre-kindergarten to grade 6. I have also presented at multiple conferences and literary festivals.

What I Offer
Every individual and group I visit is unique. I adapt my services to meet your needs.

I have five picture books which I have read for students from pre-kindergarten to grade 6. For younger students, I accompany the reading with a craft-making or other creative activity. For older students, I talk about the writing process behind the story and guide them in doing their own creative writing.

I have over twenty years of experience teaching creative writing to kids, teens, college students and adults in both schools and libraries. A creative writing workshop can help students learn more about language and narrative as well as develop their own writing and storytelling abilities.
